2 Charged in Kent Drug Sale

Sheriff Kevin J. McConville reports the arrest of two individuals after an ongoing investigation into the sale of illegal narcotics in the county.

On March 5, 2025, at approximately 2:30 pm in the Town of Kent, members of the Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Enforcement Unit (NEU) arrested Jamel Donaldson, 31 years old of New Windsor, NY and Paul Roeser, 27 years old of Mahwah, NJ after they had arrived at the location to sell fentanyl and cocaine.   Donaldson was found to be in possession of a quantity of fentanyl and cocaine and was charged with two counts of Criminal Sale of a Controlled Substance in the Third Degree, two counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Third Degree, and Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Fourth Degree, all felonies.  Donaldson, who is currently on parole for Robbery, was arraigned in the Town of Kent Justice Court and ordered held without bail due to multiple felony convictions.  Roeser was charged with Conspiracy in the Fourth Degree, a class E felony, and issued an appearance ticket for a future court date.
