Sheriff Brian Hess announces the arrest of Christian Alexis Lopez Gregorio, 21, of Brewster, NY, following an investigation into the sexual assault of a juvenile victim.
On March 27, 2026, the Putnam County Sheriff’s Office received a report regarding a past sexual assault involving a female juvenile victim.
Following an investigation conducted by the Bureau of Criminal Investigation (BCI), members of the Sheriff’s Office located and arrested Lopez Gregorio on April 3, 2026.
During the arrest, Lopez Gregorio attempted to flee on foot and resisted arrest before being taken into custody.
Lopez Gregorio has been charged with:
- Rape in the First Degree (Forcible Compulsion) – Class B Felony (2 Counts)
- Resisting Arrest – Class A Misdemeanor
Lopez Gregorio was processed at the Putnam County Correctional Facility and arraigned in the Town of Southeast Court for the Village of Brewster. Bail was set at $50,000 cash or $100,000 bond, and he was remanded to the Putnam County Correctional Facility.
