It was a busy weekend for the Putnam County Sheriff’s Office; deputies responded to 208 calls for service. During the weekend, deputies made multiple significant arrests, including:

• 3 arrests for Driving While Intoxicated and narcotics possession
• A felony domestic assault arrest involving charges of Strangulation and Assault
• A major drug and gun arrest following a traffic stop that led to the seizure of approximately 3 kilograms of fentanyl and a loaded firearm concealed in a hidden compartment

• Southeast – Members of the Special Investigations Unit and Conditions Unit conducted a traffic stop. The investigation revealed that two male subjects were in possession of approximately three kilograms of fentanyl and a loaded firearm concealed in a hidden compartment. Both individuals were taken into custody.
• Southeast – A subject was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated and possession of narcotics following a traffic stop.
• Putnam Valley – An individual was arrested for driving with a suspended license. They were issued an appearance ticket.
• Southeast – Another individual was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated and possession of narcotics following a traffic stop.
• Brewster – Deputies responded to a domestic dispute in progress. A male subject was arrested in regard.
• Southeast – An individual was arrested for Felony Driving While Intoxicated (prior conviction) and possession of narcotics following a traffic stop.
• Southeast – Deputies responded to a local hospital for a report of a past domestic assault. Following an investigation, a male subject was arrested for Felony Strangulation and Felony Assault.
