The Putnam County Sheriff’s Office School Resource Officer (SRO) Program places highly trained deputies directly in our schools to enhance safety, build relationships, and support students and staff.
Our SROs serve as law enforcement officers, educators, and mentors—working closely with school administrators to maintain a safe learning environment, address incidents when they arise, and provide guidance to students. Through daily interaction, SROs foster trust, promote positive decision-making, and serve as a direct link between law enforcement and the school community.
