On May 1st, 2024, two members of the Putnam County Sheriff's Office were recognized for their ongoing efforts to combat Driving While Intoxicated.
Deputy Shane Rossiter, an eight-year member, received the Recognition of Excellence award for effecting twenty-one DWI arrests. Investigator Kevin Radovich, Putnam County's Drug Recognition Expert (DRE) and a seventeen-year member received the Recognition of Excellence in DRE Enforcement Award.
The event was sponsored by the Mothers Against Drunk Driver and STOP DWI NEW YORK organizations.
