Traffic Stop Leads to Drug Bust: 5 Kilos of Cocaine Seized in Southeast

Putnam County Sheriff Kevin J. McConville reports the arrest of two Massachusetts men for narcotics related charges.

On April 9, 2025, at approximately 6:40 PM, members assigned to the Sheriff's Narcotics Enforcement Unit conducted a traffic stop of a vehicle in the Town of Southeast. During the stop, members discovered that the occupants, Joshua Rosario-Pabon, 22 years old of Holyoke, MA and Christopher Colon-Diaz, 25 years old of Springfield, MA possessed approximately 5 kilograms of cocaine and unlawfully possessed a quantity of oxycodone. Further investigation revealed that the men were traveling from Paterson, New Jersey to Springfield, Massachusetts with the drugs.

Both men were charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the First Degree and two counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Third Degree, Class A and B felonies. They were arraigned in the Town of Southeast Court and ordered held without bail.
