Three Arrested for Driving With a Suspended License

Putnam County Sheriff Robert L. Langley, Jr. reports the arrests of two men and one woman for driving with a suspended license in Putnam County.

On April 8, 2018, at approximately 1:30 p.m., while on patrol in the Town of Southeast, Deputy Sheriff Shawn Iarussi stopped a vehicle on Route 312 after observing it had no front license plate and had dark tinted windows.

A computer check revealed the driver, Ronnie E. Foskey, age 23, of Roslyn Heights, NY was driving with a revoked license that had sixteen active suspensions by the New York State Department of Motor Vehicles.

Deputy Iarussi arrested Mr. Foskey and impounded the car. Mr. Foskey was taken to the Sheriff’s Office, charged with Aggravated Unlicensed Operation in the 2nd Degree, a misdemeanor, and released on $250 bail.

Mr. Foskey is due to appear in the Town of Southeast Justice Court on a future date.

On April 12, 2018, at approximately 5:47 p.m., while patrolling in the Town of Putnam Valley, Deputy Sheriff Charles Johnson noticed a vehicle traveling westbound on Bryant Pond Road with dark tinted windows.

The deputy stopped the car, and a computer check revealed the driver, Alexis Speckman, age 24, of Putnam Valley had her license suspended by the Department of Motor Vehicles for failure to pay a fine.

Deputy Johnson charged the driver with Aggravated Unlicensed Operation in the 3rd Degree.

She was processed at the scene, released without bail and is scheduled to appear in the Putnam Valley Justice Court on a future date.

On April 11, 2018, at approximately 10:28 a.m., while on patrol in the Town of Philipstown, Deputy Sheriff Anthony Tolve observed a vehicle traveling on Route 9 with a loud exhaust. Deputy Tolve stopped the car, and a computer check revealed the driver, Austin F. Knoeppel, age 24, of Cold Spring has his license suspended by the New York State Department of Motor Vehicles for failure to answer a summons in Putnam Valley Town Court.

Mr. Knoeppel was charged with Aggravated Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle in the 3rd Degree, processed at the scene, and issued summonses to appear in Philipstown Justice Court on a future date.
