TBT 1983 4H Fair

In this week’s #tbt, we are reminded of how much fun, interesting and educational it can be for the entire family to attend the Putnam County 4-H Fair! In the first photo, Sergeant Wayne J. Brandt is assisted by a volunteer, Charlie Asselmeier, in demonstrating the effects of alcohol on the human body over a period of time. Mr. Asselmeier was a former Putnam County Correction Officer.

In the second photo, Captain Lawrence Connolly stands ready to answer crime prevention questions for attendees. These photos are circa 1983. This year the fair begins with the opening ceremony on July 27th, 2018 and runs until the 31st, at the County Park located on Gypsie Trail Road in the Town of Kent. Come on out and meet your Sheriff (time TBA)! http://putnam.cce.cornell.edu
