Southeast Woman Charged With Unlicensed Operation

Putnam County Sheriff Donald B. Smith announces the arrest of a Southeast woman on a charge of unlicensed operation.

On February 1, 2014 at 11:56 a.m., Deputy Sheriff Christopher Tompkins stopped a speeding motorist on South Quaker Hill Road in the Town of Southeast. The deputy determined that the driver, identified as Michelle M. Stillson, 28, had been driving with a suspended license. The deputy arrested Ms. Stillson and charged her with Aggravated Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle in the Third Degree, a misdemeanor. The defendant was processed at the scene and released in her own recognizance pending a February 24, 2014 appearance in the Town of Patterson Justice Court to answer the charge.

If found guilty of the misdemeanor charge, the defendant could face up to a year in jail and a fine of up to $1,000.00.
