Sheriff's Command Staff Attend Regional Seminar on Preventing Targeted Violence

This week, members of the Sheriff's Command Staff attended a regional conference at The John Jay College of Criminal Justice on preventing targeted acts of violence presented by New York State Homeland Security and Emergency Services.

The two-day seminar included a discussion on current trends and best practices being employed to prevent targeted violence. Discussions on identifying behavioral indicators that addressed early can mitigate future potential acts of violence.
