Putnam County Sheriff Robert L. Langley, Jr. reports the arrest of a 55-year-old Ossining man for slashing truck tires at a Philipstown business.
On April 26, 2018, a Philipstown business owner contacted the Sheriff’s office and reported that three of his trucks had been damaged. Deputy Sheriff Benjamin Levine responded, and the next day after an investigation arrested Mr. Manuel D. Lema, age 55, of Ossining who reportedly has been in an almost decade-long dispute with the Philipstown business owner.
The estimated amount of damage exceeded $1,200 to each of the trucks, and Mr. Lema was charged with three counts of felony Criminal Mischief in the 3rd Degree. He was arraigned in front of Philipstown Town Justice Stephen G. Tomann and released for a future court appearance.
