On November 24, 2025, at approximately 8:35 p.m., the Putnam County Sheriff’s Office was conducting an investigation on Sodom Road in the Town of Southeast when a suspect’s vehicle attempted to flee the scene. The suspect’s vehicle struck one of our members, resulting in an injury.
The member struck by the vehicle discharged their firearm, and the suspect sustained a gunshot injury.
The suspect was transported to a local hospital. The injured member was transported to a separate hospital.
The New York State Police are investigating the incident.
