Multiple Arrests During Southeast DWI Enforcement Detail

Acting Sheriff Brian Hess announces the arrest of four individuals during a DWI enforcement detail conducted by members of the Putnam County Sheriff's Office. The detail took place on Danbury Road in the Town of Southeast on Saturday night into early Sunday morning, September 21, 2025.

Deputies assigned to the operation arrested the following individuals:

  • Cesar Vasquez Lopez, age 35, of Danbury, CT -- charged with Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated (DWI). He was processed and released with an appearance ticket.
  • Manuel D. Mucu Aceituno, age 45, of Dover, NY -- charged with Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated, a class E felony due to a previous DWI conviction. He was arraigned in the Town of Southeast Court and released on his own recognizance (ROR).
  • Cristian Chajon Donis, age 26, of Norwalk, CT -- charged with Driving While Intoxicated (DWI). He was processed and released with an appearance ticket.
  • Walter Cortes Garcia, age 35, of Danbury, CT -- charged with Driving While Intoxicated (DWI) and Aggravated Unlicensed Operation in the 1st Degree (a felony). He was also found to have an active arrest warrant issued by the New York State Police for DWI. Garcia was arraigned in the Town of Southeast Court and then turned over to the State Police.

Acting Sheriff Hess stated, "Driving while intoxicated continues to be a serious threat to the safety of our roads. Our deputies remain committed to enforcing DWI laws and holding offenders accountable in order to protect the public."
