This morning at approximately 9:20AM, a person was observed by the School Resource Officer (SRO) on the grounds of the Mahopac Middle School Campus. The SRO immediately engaged the subject who refused to leave and would not give a legitimate reason for being on the property. As the SRO was attempting to obtain facts, the subject became combative and was subsequently arrested for trespassing on school grounds. The situation was handled quickly and efficiently by the SRO and School Staff and did not impact any school operations. This was an isolated incident and there is no cause for any alarm.
