Connecticut Man Charged With Unlicensed Operation

Putnam County Sheriff Donald B. Smith announces the arrest of a Connecticut man on a charge of unlicensed operation.

On June 30, 2014 at approximately 8:30 a.m., Deputy Sheriffs Benjamin Levine and Randel Hill stopped a motorist who had committed a traffic violation on Route 6 in the Town of Southeast. The deputy determined that the driver, identified as Bryan P. The deputy arrested Mr. Curran and charged him with Aggravated Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle in the Third Degree, a misdemeanor. The defendant was processed at the Putnam County Correctional Facility and released after posting $250.00 cash bail. The defendant will be required to appear in the Town of Southeast Justice Court on July 21, 2014 to answer the charge.

If found guilty of the misdemeanor charge, the defendant could face up to a year in jail and a fine of up to $1,000.00.
