Beekman Man Charged With Southeast Truck Theft

Sheriff Kevin J. McConville reports the arrest of a Beekman, NY man for stealing a truck from a driveway on Route 312 in the Town of Southeast in 2024.

On September 8, 2024, a deputy was dispatched to the location for a report of a stolen vehicle. The complainant advised that he parked his truck in the morning and when he returned later in the afternoon, the vehicle was gone.

Investigators were dispatched to assist in the investigation and began gathering evidence including surveillance camera footage. The truck was entered into the law enforcement database system as a stolen vehicle.

On September 9, officers from the Danbury Police Department stopped the vehicle and arrested the driver, 39-year-old, Sean F. Turcios, and he was charged with possessing the stolen vehicle in Connecticut.

On March 20, 2025, Sheriff's Office investigators were advised by Connecticut authorities that Turcios was going to be released after serving his sentence on their charges, and he was picked up and taken back to New York where he was arraigned in the Town of Southeast Court on a charge of Grand Larceny in the Third Degree, a class D felony.

He was remanded to the Putnam County Correctional Facility for a future bail hearing due to his multiple prior felony convictions.
