Changes to the Handgun Safety Course
The handgun safety course offered by the Putnam County Sheriffs Department requires a separate $45.00 registration fee (per applicant). Postal money order (only) is to be made payable to the Putnam County Commissioner of Finance (no other type of payment will be accepted). Payment must be received by the Putnam County Sheriff’s Department at least five (5) business days prior to attending the course, or attendance will not be permitted. Failure to provide payment five (5) business days prior to attending the course will result in forfeiture of the seat to a person on a waiting list.
