Putnam County Sheriff Donald B. Smith reports the recent arrest of a Westchester County woman on a variety of charges following a domestic incident.
On December 22, 2013 at 9:12 a.m., Deputy Sheriffs Bryan Suppa and Christopher Tompkins responded to a report of a 911 “hang up” call at 45 Winston Lane in the Town of Philipstown. Upon arrival, the deputies determined that a domestic dispute had occurred at the residence. It was determined that Anna V. Chacha-Mora, 24, of 124 Gallows Hill Road, Cortlandt Manor, New York had entered the residence uninvited and started a verbal argument with family members, which upset several children who were present. The deputies arrested Ms. Chacha-Mora and charged her with Criminal Trespass in the Second Degree, a misdemeanor; Endangering the Welfare of Child, a misdemeanor; and with Harassment in the Second Degree, a violation. The defendant was processed at the Putnam County Sheriff’s Department Philipstown Substation and subsequently arraigned in the Town of Philipstown Justice Court where she was released in her own recognizance pending a future court appearance to answer the charges.
If found guilty of the misdemeanor charges, the defendant could face up to a year in jail and a fine of up to $1,000.00 for each charge.
